Discussion of Presentation M. G. Caron: Structure and Function Relationships of the G-Receptor Family

Marc Caron presented an overview of structure and function relationships of the G-receptor family, mechanisms of coupling to the second messenger system, and desensitization of these receptors. He further reported about an observation which suggests that point mutations in these receptors might contribute to changing their function and might thus be highly interesting for CNS disorders.
