2002
in this research, changes in thiocyanate content of milks from cow and goat during lactation period were investigated. Samples of milk were from morning milking of 10 animals which was chosen randomly from the herd of each species at Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Zootechnics and were analyzed in every 15 days during the whole lactation period of 300 days for cows (Holstein Frisien x Southeast Anatolian red cross-breed) and of 105 days for goats (Saanen x Kilis cross-breed), Concentrations of thiocyanate showed irregular changes in milk samples from each of the species, and was found to be ranged between 1,731 - 4,465 ppm and 2,975-8,364 ppm, respectively in cows' and goats' milk.
