Revisión bibliográfica de los principales estudios de valoración económica realizados para los arrecifes coralinos y manglares en Colombia

The objective of this article is to make a bibliographic review of the main economic valuation studies carried out in Colombia for coral reefs and mangroves, taking into account the panorama in which they are found, the valued ecosystem services, the methodologies used and the study areas. Finding that of the seventeen documents analyzed, six of them refer to coral reefs and the remaining eleven work with mangroves, with a greater influence of these in the Colombian Caribbean. Most of them are based on tourism services for coral reefs and coral reefs. CO2 capture for mangroves. Using in its generality methodologies such as contingent valuation, hedonic prices and market prices. Highlighting throughout the document the need to focus on research efforts to assess these ecosystems, as they contribute significantly to the country's economy, in order to conserve, mitigate and make sustainable use of them.
