A Proposed System of Classification of Hemophilia Centers for the World Federation of Hemophilia (W.F.H.)

At the request of the executive of the World Federation of Hemophilia, a uniform system for the classification of hemophilia centers has been devised. Three levels of centers are described: the hemophilia treatment unit, the comprehensive hemophilia center, and the comprehensive hemophilia reference center. It is hoped that adoption of this system will assist hemophilia treaters in being able to develop more complete and comprehensive services, with the recognition and support of local and national governments and health agencies.
