A machine for preparing beverages (1) comprising an apparatus (30) for conditioning a food substance, such as milk or a substance containing milk, such apparatus comprising: - a module for food packaging (31) having a structure (32) for holding said food substance and having an electrical device (35) comprising a conditioner (36) to impart a conditioning effect to a substantially this type and a set of control conditioner (37) to control the air conditioner; and - a device user interface (40) in data communication with the control unit of the air conditioner to transmit user data from the device user interface to the control unit for controlling the air conditioner according to them, the device user interface (40) being outside the module food packaging (31) and connected thereto so that it can be disconnected, characterized in that a machine of this type (1) further comprises a base station (7) on which it is received so that it can extract the module food packaging (31) and in which is comprised the user interface device (40).
