Provided are a method and terminal for quickly starting application service. The method comprises: a terminal obtains event triggering information used for starting application service software on the terminal; the terminal starts the application service software after determining that the event triggering information meets a preset quick start condition; the terminal obtains a voice instruction inputted by the user and starts the application service software according to the voice instruction. In the method provided by an embodiment of the present invention, the application service software is started by the event triggering information, so that the background of the terminal begins voice recording after the application service software is started, and ends voice recording after the terminal provides the application service for the user, preventing the background of the terminal from remaining in the voice recording state, thus reducing power consumption of the terminal.
