Solar Powered Water Monitoring System
2021
Water wastage is a global issue that necessitates constant monitoring in order to avoid it. Most of the reasons for this is that the public and government are unaware of what is going on. Water monitoring systems come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they all require manual control. The efficient management of water is the focus of this project. The project's goal is to create a smart system for regulating and tracking water, as well as indicating the location of any pipeline leaks. The PIC Microcontroller is used to build the system, which enables water to discharge from the pipe in a regulated manner. A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen connected to a PIC Microcontroller displays the water flow rate. If there is a leak in the pipeline, the GSM Module sends an SMS to the user right away. The leakage spot is pinpointed with the aid of a GPS module. The details of where the leakage happens and the location of the leakage spot will be included in the user's text message. As a result, the consumer will see real-time readings on water quantity and the municipal staff would be able to access data on pipeline leakage, allowing us to have good adaptable water. This project was successful in resolving the issue of water leakage.
