Magnetotransport study in type-II Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4

We have synthesized single crystal of layered ternary compound having composition TaIrTe4 using tellurium flux method. Herein, we report experimental study of magneto-transport properties on Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4 in the temperature regime 2.5K to 300K. TaIrTe4 show the linear magneto-resistance 4.1 % at 3.5K in a magnetic field of 6 T. The residual resistivity ration (RRR) is around 2.4. HR-TEM and SEAD patterns reveal the formation of single crystal TaIrTe4.
