Non-aqueous solvent secondary battery electrode material, electrode and secondary battery

2001
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous solvent secondary battery having a large charge/discharge capacity, a small irreversible capacity determined as the difference between the doping capacity and the de-doping capacity, and a superior cycle characteristic. SOLUTION: The electrode material comprising a powder mixture of a metallic material (particularly an intermetallic compound) and a capacitive carbon material respectively having capabilities to store and release lithium and a fine conductive auxiliary added as needed, and containing 5-60 wt.% of the metallic material and 40 wt.% or more of the capacitive carbon material is used as an active material for an electrode, particularly a negative electrode of the nonaqueous solvent secondary battery.
