Asking Difficult Questions: Evaluating Resident Initiated Ethics Discussions

2014
INTRODUCTION: Ethics has become an essential part of educational curricula at many medical schools. Our institution attempted to expand on this educational field by setting up a one-month elective for fourth-year medical students to research a clinical ethics topic of their choosing under the mentorship of a team of clinical ethics educators with the goal to publish their findings. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of this elective on medical students and to identify areas for program improvement.
