Research on Phase Current Reconstruction with Single Current Sensor Using Vector Pulse Interpolation Method

Aiming at the problem of the blind area of current measurement in phase current reconstruction of permanent magnet synchronous motor with using single current sensor technique, this paper proposes a novel method of vector pulse interpolation, which is different from the traditional vector pulse insertion method using injecting three vector pulses in one PWM cycle. The novel method uses another way to inject vector pulse to measure the current which can reduce the switching times, and analyzes how to overcome the problems of the asymmetry of PWM and the reduction of speed regulation area. The reliability and superiority of the novel method are verified by comparative experiments.
