Effect of the Climatic Factors on the Quality of Rice in Shenyang Area

2005
Using gray correlation analysis method, the effect of climatic factors on rice quality was researched. The results showed that the key period affecting the rice quality was from August 11 to September 10.In this period, temperature is the most important factor affecting the rice quality. The next is sunshine and the last is precipitation. The relation between the rice quality and the climatic factors in the key period was further analyzed. The results showed that the head rice rate has a quadratic curving relationship with the average temperature from August 11 to September 10 and is positively linear correlated to total sunshine hours during the key period. The chalky rice rate is positively linear correlated to the average temperature of last twenty days of August. The gel content has a quadratic curving relationship, the amylose content is negatively linear correlated to the average temperature from August 11 to September 10,respectively.For validating the regression equation, two true values were compared with its regression values. The less residual between true values and regression values proved that these correlation relations gained from history data were reliable and these results could prove reference for the relational research in future.
