Infraestrutura verde para uma rede ambiental: conectando fragmentos através de corredores verdes na área urbana de Farroupilha – RS

2021
Green infrastructure, associated with urban valuation, is addressed in this article as a multifunctional environmental network capable of recovering and restructuring a degraded environmental system. The proposal applied in Farroupilha-RS recognizes the environmental potential of the city, with watercourses hidden and green areas suppressed without environmental concern. To this end, a proposal is made for integrating and recovering a central part of the city from existing vegetation fragments and streets that have the potential to receive green infrastructure. The objective of this work is, therefore, to identify the potential places that could integrate green infrastructure in the consolidated urban fabric of the city in order to structure an environmental network through green corridors, which are identified by hubs and links. The case study, based on a cartographic survey and a theoretical approach based on green infrastructure, starts from the overlapping of city maps to establish relationships between green areas and the water path. The green infrastructure obtained through the green corridors allowed the identification of segments of the city with potential for preservation, conservation and recovery, in addition to making it possible to glimpse the urban expansion based on environmental networks for the entire municipality.
