Submillimeter Solar Observation Lunar Volatiles Experiment (SSOLVE) Optics and Front-end Spectrometer

SSOLVE is a heterodyne spectrometer that is under development as a technology demonstration for future lunar lander missions. The system contains a heliostat to target the Sun, optics, and submillimeter-wave, and Terahertz (THz) receivers to measure the column abundance of H 2 O, OH, and HDO.
