PS9 - 50. Defining a single factor model for metabolic syndrome with good predictive power for type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is seen as a single construct of several metabolic features, which increases the risk of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The debate on, which features to include in MetS, is still ongoing. Aim of this study is to identify a MetS model which optimally predicts T2D and CVD, while still representing a single construct.
