DEVELOPMENTS IN MERGER LAW AND ENFORCEMENT 1989-90

I have the daunting task of summarizing in a half-hour developments in merger law and enforcement since our last Annual Meeting in early August of 1989. I say "daunting" because it has been a very interesting year, in the courts, in the enforcement agencies, and in the offices of the state attorneys general. I will attempt to hit the high points, although needless to say, there is a tremendous amount of detail tucked among them.
