Quinones as Rechargeable and Regenerable Battery Cathode Materials

1971
Quinones were found to be suitable cathode materials for Zn/air cells and secondary batteries. Volt--amp curves showed reversible behavior for electrodes of chloranil and graphitized carbon. The quinones can be rapidly regenerated with air or oxygen. Duroquinone was also investigated. (RWR)
