Educação em saúde sobre subtipo do Influenzavirus A: utilizando o Arco de Maguerez

Introduction: influenza is a disease that spreads rapidly and affects individuals of all age ranges. Objective: to report the experience in the application of the Charles Maguerez arch by nursing students in the health care of the child and his companion. Method: the activity was applied in a public hospital of the federal district, using the five steps of the Charles Maguerez arch method - proposed and applied by Berbel - and started from participant observation, in which relevant points to the health context and coexistence in the pediatric unity were identified, precipitously the absence of adequate prophylactic measures to prevent the spread of the Influenza virus. The activity occurred between april and june 2018. Result: carried out the survey of the possible factors associated with the problem: seasonality of the Influenza virus and consequences from the lack of adequate treatment; and the possible major determinants of the problem: influenza and the manifestation of H1N1. The theorizing of points observed in scientific literature, such as in manuals, technical books and scientific articles, was carried out. Therefore, the realization of health education with dialogued exposition was thought, in which the group covered children, companions and professionals, from the playful tool of the 7 errors identification. Final considerations: with the educational action, the arch was identified as a rich strategy to develop students' teaching and learning; as well as to make the public aware of the measures taken to prevent the Influenza virus.
