Implantation of cervical pedicle screw assisted by intraoperative Iso-C3D fluoroscopy navigation on real time

2009
Objective To evaluate the accuracy of cervical pedicle screw implantation assisted by intraoperative Iso-C3D fluoroscopy navigation on real time. Methods Twenty-two cases adopted cervical pedicle screw fixation of cervical spine, including 9 cervical spine fractures, 4 cervical tumors, 6 cervical destabilizing, 3 cervical syndrome by intraoperative Iso- C3D fluoroscopy navigation on real time. The cervical pedicle screw position were assessed with post-operative CT by grade. Results One hundred and twelve cervical pedicle screws were fixed assisted by Iso-C3D navigation in 22 cases successfully. Four grades of screw position were divided by postoperative CT scanning for cervical pedicle. There were 107 in A grade (95.5%), 3 in B grade(2.7%), 1 in C grade(0.9%), 1 in D grade(0.9%). There were no complications including spinal cord, nerves and vertebral artery injury. Conclusion Intraoperative Iso-C3D fluoroscopy navigation system on real time can exactly guide cervical pedicle screw implantation.
