USSR-Wide Conference on Problems of Instruction in Historiography

A USSR-wide Conference of Teachers of the Historiography of USSR and World History at universities and teachers colleges was held in Smolensk, January 31-February 3, 1973. It was organized by the History Department of the USSR Academy of Sciences, the Learned Council on the Problem "History of Historical Scholarship," the Institute of USSR History of the Academy of Sciences, the USSR Education Ministry, the USSR Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the RSFSR Education Ministry, the RSFSR Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, and the Karl Marx Teachers College of Smolensk.
