Новые пути решения проблемы замещения дефектов при обширной резекции у животных с опухолями костей

2013
In the FSBI «N.N. Blokhin RСКС» RAMS new method has been developed to create implants for replacement of large bone defects on the basis of deimmunized donor bone recolonized by recipient mesenchymal stromal cells. The aim of the research was the evaluation of the implant strength characteristics in comparison with the intact bone, the biodegradation of implants after the heterotopic transplantation, as well as the study of the possibility to use the implants for the replacement of extended defects after resection of the part of the bone from animals with spontaneous tumors. According to the results obtained no acute bioimplant rejection occured, degradation of the matrix structure was not observed, and mechanical properties of the implant were quite comparible with the intact bone. At the same time there were signs of the vascularization of bioimplant tissue and its recolonization by recipient cells. Studies that had been done in the veterinary clinic «Biocontrol» showed the possibility of the effective use of this approach in the reconstructive surgery for replacement of the defect after bone resection. In the postoperative period there was the recovery of support functions, fast consolidation of the implant in osteotomy area without any signs of the acute rejection reaction.
