Pharmacognostical and Preliminary Phytochemical Investigation of the Fruit of Pergularia tomentosa L

AbstractThis article describes the macro- and microscopical characters of the fruit ofPergularia tomentosa L., a plant with significant effect on the heart and blood pressure. A preliminary phytochemical screening of the various extracts of the pericarp and the seed was also carried out. Many diagnostic elements were found of value in its rapid detection and identification.
