The Application of Illumination Compensation Technique in Solving the Shallow Imaging Problem of Irregular Acquisition Area

2021
Irregular observation system areas always appear during seismic acquisition construction, and the shallow layers of these irregular acquisition areas often have serious imaging problems. In order to solve the seismic imaging problem of gap in the shallow layer of the migration section in the surface irregular acquisition area of the X14 survey of Daqing oilfield, Firstly, the stable phase points were picked up on the dip gathers, and then the time-varying space-varying illumination contribution of each point in the pre-stack gathers was obtained by using the diagonalization calculation based on the Hessian matrix. Finally, the lateral and vertical amplitude value of the CRP gathers were compensated. The gap imaging quality of the stack section irregular acquisition area improved greatly after illumination compensation, which can meet the geological needs of fine structure interpretation and shallow reservoir seismic prediction. This method is different from the pre-stack data regularization or interpolation techniques of commercial software, whose essence is to calculate the seismic trace rather than to obtain the data through seismic acquisition. This method has sufficient theoretical basis, good processing effect and wide application potential, and can solve the shallow layer imaging problem in irregular seismic acquisition area with high fidelity and efficiency.
