Flame retardant powder coating

The invention discloses flame retardant powder coating and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing the following components in parts by weight: 25-35 parts of epoxy resin, 25-35 parts of polyester resin, 1-2 parts of WA flame retardant, 1-5 parts of pigment and 25-45 parts of inorganic filler; feeding the mixture into a twin-screw extruder or a single screw extruder, extruding and tabletting at the screw speed of 200-300r/min and the temperature of 85-120 DEG C, crushing and sieving so as to obtain the product. The flame retardant powder coating has good flame retardant property; and coating with different colors and flame retardant effects can be obtained by changing the variety and using amount of each component. The raw materials are wide in source, and the preparation method is simple, and therefore, the flame retardant powder coating can be popularized and used favorably.
