Waist-to-height ratio, a simple and effective predictor for metabolic risk in Japanese men and women

2006
Abstract We evaluated the effectiveness of various anthropometric indices in identifying metabolic risk among Japanese men and women (a total of approximately 17,000 persons from three observation periods), and found that waist-to-height ratio was better than other anthropometric indices as a predictor of metabolic risk.
