The founding myth of rural sociology established the opposition rural-urban as discontinuous spatial socio realities. Nevertheless, throughout last decades, appears a new scene appears in which is constructed an idyllic and exalted image of the rural. What reasons conspire for the appearance of these revaluation dynamics of rural concept? This article examines some contradictions associated with an emergency of a rural «made-tomeasure» concept in the middle of a context marked in the age of post-productivism, choosing the social representations of rural thing as an analytical focus.
