Recent Photographic Work with the U.K. Schmidt Telescope

Considerable excitement has been generated by many of the astronomical results that have arisen during recent years from the photographic output of the UK 1.2m Schmidt Telescope (UKST); some of these results will be described later. However, this report is mainly concerned with some of the developments in the photographic work that has been performed by the staff of the UKST in Australia since the last meeting of this Working Group. Before describing that work, it will be appropriate to present a brief summary of the status of the UKST sky surveys.
