In measuring and process engineering there often is the problem to determine a mathematical curve from pairs of values in order to interpolate any intermediate values. This problem can be solved by means of different methods of approximation. The following essay is also based on a Polynom approximation but the numerical values of this procedure only exist as predefined discrete increments.
