The radiation-sensitive resin composition and the color filter

2006
A radiation sensitive resin composition for a color filter, a color filter formed by using the composition, and a color LCD device containing the color filter are provided to improve voltage holding ratio and the solvent re-solubility of a dry coating and to prevent the generation of stain on a film after exposure and development. A radiation sensitive resin composition for a color filter comprises a colorant; an alkali-soluble resin; a multifunctional monomer; and a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the alkali-soluble resin is a copolymer of (b1) at least one selected from an unsaturated carboxylic acid, an unsaturated carboxylic anhydride and an unsaturated phenol compound, (b2) a compound containing an allyl group, and (b3) at least one unsaturated compound which is different from (b1) and (b2) and is selected from the group consisting of an aromatic vinyl compound, an indene, an N-substituted maleimide, a macromonomer having a (meth)acryloyl group at the one terminal of a polymer molecular chain, an unsaturated carboxylate, an unsaturated carboxylic acid aminoalkyl ester, an unsaturated carboxylic glycidyl ester, a vinyl carboxylate, an unsaturated ether, an unsaturated amide and an aliphatic conjugated diene. The alkali-soluble resin has a ratio (Mw/Mn) of a polystyrene-reduced weight average molecular weight(Mw) and a polystyrene-reduced number average molecular weight(Mn) by GPC is 1.0-2.0.
