Disclosed are a liquid crystal drive circuit capable of achieving both high-speed drive and a wide viewing angle characteristic by minimum cost increase, a liquid crystal display device provided therewith, and a drive method for the liquid crystal drive circuit. Specifically disclosed is a liquid crystal drive circuit (1) provided with a gate bus line drive circuit (14) which drives a plurality of gate bus lines (2), a drive parameter selection unit (16) which, according to the number of gate bus lines (2) driven simultaneously by the gate bus line drive circuit (14), selects a drive parameter that is optimized to the ratio between bright pixels and dark pixels determined by said number, and a source bus line drive circuit (18) which drives a source bus line (4) using the drive parameter selected by the drive parameter selection unit (16).
