Phenomenological theory of ion dechanneling with regard to rechanneling and stopping

Abstract The phenomenological treatment of ion dechanneling in crystals is done. A simple analytical model has been developed in order to take into account the simultaneous effect of energy losses, dechanneling, rechanneling and volume trapping into the channeling regime on the ions' dechanneling function (channeling probability vs. crystal depth).
