DC micro grid energy management strategy based on a hierarchical dynamic adaptive droop control

This paper presents an energy management strategy for DC micro grid based on a hierarchical dynamic adaptive droop control. This controller has two layers, dynamic droop parameter unit and mode transition unit. The dynamic droop parameter unit uses a PI controller to generate a dynamic voltage compensation, which can minimize circulating current between converters. The mode transition unit designate micro grid operation mode by DC bus voltage signal automatically. Finally, simulation studies are carried out by using Matlab/Simulink software to validate the proposed control strategy is effective.
