Primary Study of Bacterial Biofilm Structure of Healing Cap of Titanium Implant

Objective:To study the architecture of human bacterial biofilm of titanium implant and to investigate the relationship between the bacterial biofilm and the oral sanitation.Methods:The 12 intact healing caps of titanium ITI implant specimen were generated from the 12 clinical patients,which were imaged and analyzed by confocal laser scanning microscope,then the relationship with plaque index were analyzed.Results:The bacterial biofilm exists extensively at the surface of healing cap,and heterogeneous distribution related with the positions of healing cap.The structure of biofilm was corrected with the plaque index.Conclusion:There have a certain relativity between the character of the bacterial biofilm and clinical index.
