Potential of Financing Student Projects by Crowdfunding in the Republic of Croatia

Crowdfunding is a relatively new alternative source of funding, popularity of which has become unstoppable over the last decade. Crowdfunding in the modern form is not possible without modern information and communications technologies as well as without high levels of multidisciplinarity and creativity. The youth are the social group that best accepts new concepts and uses new technologies. However, young people who are members of student organizations are confronted with the problem of finding adequate funding sources for their projects. Therefore, this paper examines and analyses the level of knowledge of crowdfunding among the members of student organizations with the aim of determining the potential for financing student projects in the Republic of Croatia.
