2005
A convertible type vacuum cleaner comprises a nozzle unit 20 and a cleaner body 30 detachably mounted on the nozzle unit 20. First and second connector units 41, (122, fig 3) are respectively associated with the nozzle unit 20 and the cleaner body 30 so that when the cleaner body 30 is mounted on the nozzle unit 20 the first and second connector units 41, (122, fig 3) form an electrical connection. The first connector unit 41 includes a plurality of plug pins (113, fig 5) connected to an electric cable (W1, fig 5), a pin housing (114, fig 5) having a plurality of spaced grooves (114a, fig 5) for mounting plug pins (113, fig 5) and a plug support (115, fig 5) for securely fixing the plug pins (113, fig 5) in the housing (114, fig 5). The plug pins (113, fig 5) can have stepped regions (113a, fig 5) so that they cannot be withdrawn from the pin housing (114, fig 5).
