Hydrogen reduction of atomized iron powders

1976
1. Virtually complete removal of oxygen (to a residual level of less than 0.1%) from atomized iron powders of various fractions occurs in a very dry hydrogen atmosphere (with a dew point not exceeding −40°C) at an end reduction temperature of 500°C. 2. The reduction time of iron powders subjected to ultrasonic treatment is one-half that of untreated powders.
