Influência da sazonalidade sobre a composição e a qualidade seminal de garanhões

The seasonal variation represented in temperature changes, humidity and luminosity directly affects the composition of equine seminal plasma. This alteration in plasma composition leads to differences on sperm quality of these animals due to its changes in the proteic, lipidic and hormonal patterns. The study of these variations is important to optimize the use of stallions along the year. In this review, it will be presented the major seminal aspects changed by seasonal variations and how these aspects can be evaluated.
