The invention relates to a profile rail assembly (12) comprising a profile strip with a first connecting portion (14) for connection to an edge region (16) of a windshield (18) of a motor vehicle and a second connecting portion (22) for connection to a (to the windshield 18) adjacent motor vehicle component (20), further connected comprising a releasable (with the profile strip 12) stiffening strip (24), wherein the reinforcement strip (24) has a plug-in section (26) for insertion into and remain permanently in the second connecting portion (22) and having a connecting portion (28) for connection to the adjacent motor vehicle component (20). The invention further relates to a mounting assembly, a motor vehicle group, and a method for assembling a motor vehicle group.
