A Study of Charm Production in the Strong Interactions Using a Prompt Muon Trigger

Our group is studying charm production in 200 GeV/c π- nucleon interactions via the process Open image in new window The experimental strategy is to trigger on a prompt muon from the semileptonic decay of one of the charm particles (C or \(\bar C\) , and to examine the decay of the associated state with open geometry and minimum bias.
