On the occurrence of two varieties of Jatropha gossypiifolia L. in India

The occurrence of two varieties of Jatropha gossypiifolia L. (var. gossypiifolia and var. elegans (Pohl) Muell. Arg.) of Euphorbiaceae has been reported for the first time from Andhara Pradesh in southem India. An artificial key to the two varieties is also provided.
