Additive Manufactured 60 GHz Slot Array Antenna

Additive Manufacturing (AM) enables fabrication of complex geometries, rapid prototyping, and the ability to inexpensively manufacture low quantities. Antenna design and manufacturing has many opportunities to benefit from these advantages. This study demonstrates a custom slot array antenna operating at 60 GHz. Manufacturing tolerances, particularly surface roughness, may influence performance especially at millimeter wave frequencies.
