SISTEMA DE APOIO À GESTÃO DE CURSOS A DISTÂNCIA: RELATO DE UMA EXPERIÊNCIA.

This article presents a information system implemented at the Distance Education Secretariat of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - SEDIS/UFRN, to manage the information that make up the planning of the semester. The methodology used was an adaptation of the standard information systems development lifecycle. This is an exploratory and applied research, with a qualitative approach. The strategy of research was a case study of the use of this system, during the planning of the semester 2013, in the distance learning undergraduate courses at SEDIS/UFRN. As results, it is pointed out that the solution is capable of supporting the management, especially the information that will build the Virtual Learning Environment - VLE, more agility in the production and printing of learning materials, as well as its distribution to centers of learning.
