A sensor arrangement for contactless detection of rotation angles to a rotating component

2014
The invention relates to a sensor arrangement (1) for contactless detection of rotation angles to a rotating member, said rotating member having a disk-shaped target (20) is coupled, having at least one metal surface (24) and in communication with a coil assembly (40) having at least a planar detection coil (42, 44, 46) generates at least one of information for determining the current rotational angle of the rotating component. According to the invention the coil assembly (40) includes three planar detection coil (42, 44, 46) uniformly distributed along the circumference of a circle are arranged, and the rotating target (20) comprises at least two metal surfaces (24) defined by eddy current effects the inductance of the planar detection coils (42, 44, 46) influenced in dependence on the degree of overlap, wherein an evaluation and control unit (10) is substantially sinusoidal evaluation signals which the inductance of the detection coils (42, 44, 46) represent, generates and analyzes to calculate the rotation angle.
