Progress in the treatment of coronary disease at the University Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery in Novi Sad

: More than 12,000 open heart operations have been performed at the University Clinic of Cardiovascular Surgery in Novi Sad, with the total postoperative mortality rate of 2.6%. Myocardial revascularization has been done in case of 7,944 patients with the operative risk of 2.8%. The advancement in surgical treatment of coronary disease is especially prominent in case of the most severe coronary patients, such as those with left ventricle failure, diffuse and distal coronary disease and associated valvular lesion.
