Inhibition of ascorbate-induced and NADPH-dependent lipid peroxidation in hepatic nuclei by aflatoxin B1

1983
Abstract Aflatoxin B 1 (AFB 1 ) causes inhibition of ascorbate-induced and NADPH-dependent lipid peroxidation in hepatic nuclei. Fe 2+ -stimulated oxidation of linoleic acid is also inhibited by AFB 1 . The inhibition of lipid peroxidation by AFB 1 is independent of its metabolism in nuclei and probably due to the anti-oxidant property of AFB 1 .
