Phase Behavior and Rheology Properties of Brij97/IPM/sucrose Solution System

The phase diagram of Brij97/IPM/Sucrose solution system was determined at 37℃. The effects of composition and temperature on rheology properties of Brij97/IPM/Sucrose solution system were determined by TA-2000ex rheometer. The results indicate that phase transition occurs from hexagonal to lamellar liquid crystal with increasing in Brij97/IPM ratio at the constant content of sucrose solution. Dynamic rheological results show this two kinds of liquid crystals investigated exhibit high elasticity.
