The invention relates to a method for making a 'CO2 gas hardening-self hardening' coupled soluble glass sand mould core and solves various problems existing in an existing CO2 gas hardening method, a thermal hardening method, a microwave heating method, a VHR (vacuum replace hardening) method, an ester hardening method and a self hardening method. The method for making the 'CO2 gas hardening-self hardening' coupled soluble glass sand mould core realizes soluble glass sand mould core production without changing the existing CO2 soluble glass sand mould core technological equipment and sand mixing and core making technological conditions and comprises the following technological steps: weighing raw materials, mixing sand (sand for preparing soluble glass), testing performance of casting sand, filling and compacting sand in a mould (a core box), blowing CO2 gas to carry out preliminary hardening and moulding on a mould core, demoulding, carrying out self hardening and complete hardening, and obtaining the mould core finished product. Compared with the CO2 gas hardening method, the method for making the 'CO2 gas hardening-self hardening' coupled soluble glass sand mould core has the advantages that blowing time is shortened by 2/3, blowing efficiency is improved by 2-3 times, production cost is reduced by 15%, labour intensity is reduced by 1/3, and production efficiency is improved.
