: Before imaging the sinusitis patient, the clinican needs to establish diagnostic goals and be aware of the limitations of imaging. When reviewing imaging studies of the paranasal sinuses, the clinician needs a basic understanding of the anatomy of the ostiomeatal complex and sinonasal cavity, the common anatomical variants, and the typical appearances of inflammatory, infectious, and neoplastic etiologies.
