PREDICTORS OF MENTAL HEALTH

This study aims to find out the influence of age and duration of alcohol intake on the mental health of alcohol abusers. A total sample of 400 alcohol abusing youth were collected through snow ball sampling. Results from this study demonstrated that there is a significant difference between age groups 16-25 and 26-35 years, also significant difference between alcohol abusers with alcohol intake duration 2-5 years and above 5 years. While Duncan’s Multiple Range test (DMRT) results inferred that alcohol abusers with duration of alcohol intake up to 1 year are significantly different from alcohol abusers with duration of alcohol intake 2-5 years and above 5 years. Furthermore there is a significant influence of age and duration of alcohol intake on the mental health of alcohol abusers.
