Unidades demonstrativas: diversificando com batatas orgânicas

The production of potatoes in the organic system has increased in recent years, together withthe concern for the preservation of the agroecosystem, but there is still a lack of research onmanagement techniques and cultivars that adapt in this cropping system. In this sense, thedemonstrative units appear as an alternative to propagate cultivation techniques in the organicsystem to the producers, the project was the result of the creation of the first Agroecology andOrganic Production Study Center of the Southwest of Parana (NEA_Sudoeste_PR) with theMixed Research Unit And Technology Transfer (UMIPTT) UTFPR / Embrapa. In this way, theproject aims at an exchange of know-how between family farmers and the academy that willallow the community’s food base to be expanded.
